Bihar is a state with high potential for growth and has been been under performing due to lack of resources .  Even today millions of people migrates go out from Bihar to different cities across the country in search of better livelihood and job opportunity.
Bihar government has laid out the map for #AtmaNirbharBihar with the announcement of Budget 2021-22
Key take away from Bihar Budget 2021-22
  • Bihar is all set to open 3 medical college which is under construction.
  • All 38 districts are considered as open defecation free
  • Rajgir is ready to get a sports University.
  • Sector of Animal/fish husbandry is all set to get 500 Crore INR.
  • All villages to have street lights based on solar energy.
  • For old age home budget allocates 90 Crore INR .
  • 250 Crore INR to allocate from Budget to link roads in rural areas.
  • To promote female education government is all set to give
  • Rs.25k for unmarried women on passing intermediate and Rs.50k on completing bachelor’s exam.
  • 110 Crore INR will be allocated from the budget for new Engineering collages .
Missed Opportunity
  • Government is already lagging in the construction of medical colleges which is going so slow.
  • Government should work on the quality of Engineering collage rather then quantity
  • Government is still not ready to have any big industry in Bihar which is the ultimate demerit of the budget.
  • Expectation was that government  will invest in agricultural products like Makhana, Maize but seems like government is failed regarding this aspects.
  • No new announcement regarding any big factory establishment plans.
  • Superhighway/Metro was needed but still there is no any special allotments.
  • Pharmaceutical Educational institute and Product manufacturing infrastructure was needed but the government is also not trying regarding these important parameters.
After looking at the points , we notice government has created a road map of its #AtmaNirbharBihar but it has missed opportunity to create new avenues and bring something unexpected in its plan.
